Twin Calves;
One of John Chastain’S fine Jersey
cows, Jennie Swift 3rd, brought twin
calves on Saturday, a male and fe
male. Jennie is one of the first •
istered Jersey’s brought *' ***

ville, and is now P- ,
• .u u ^irteen years and
six months o'-* . ' ...
, ... .a. She is large, a lib
eral mi |v , . . °
- .«ver, handsome in appearance
.nil has always been hardy and
healthy. She is now the mother of
fourteen calves, notwithstanding she
has been handicapped since placed
in Mr. Chastain’s dairy some six
years ago, during which time he has
attempted to limit her to one calf a
a year. Seemingly not content with
being thus restrained, this time she
brought twins. This is a fine record
for a cow.
Police Court.
A fair audience was before Mayor
Hopkins in the police court yesterday
morning. The following cases were
disposed of by his honor:
Drew Ward, colored, disorderly con
duct, was fined five dollars or ten days.
He paid up like a man.
Frank McKeever plead guilty to

Two charges were entered against
Eliza Mitchell. One for disorderly con
duct and the other for contempt in fail

this being her first ofiensc, both cases
were dismissed.

to take bond for his appearance.
There bein j no further business the
court was adjourned.

Lung Troubles, Rheumatism, Eto.
Frequently a person is supposed to have
consumption when it is some other disease
altogether that is reducing his flesh and
making him look pale and thin.
J. \V. Yates, Tullahomn, Tenn., writes:
“It doe3 me good to praise Botanic Blood
Balm. It cured mo of an absess on the lungs
and asthma that troubled me two years and
that other remedies failed to benefit.”
So you see it Is sometimes well to try con
stitutional treatment. No remedy is so good
ns B. B. B. (Botanic Blool Balm).for re
building wasted tissue, and giving health to
everv portion of the system reached by that
great circulation stream of life, tho human
blood. Again, it is often supposed that
colds and exposure arc the only causes of
sciatica, rheumatism, etc. Such is alwayo
the cases. It is frequently caused by impur
ities in the blood.
Win. Price, Luttsville, Mo., writes: “I was
afflicted with sciatica and had lost the use
of one arm and one leg for nine years. I
went to I lot Springs and also tried different
doctors, but found no cure until I tried Bot
anic Blood Balm. It made me sound and well.
I am well known in this vicinity.”
Observe, even when the renowned Hot
Springs failed, B. li. B. brought relief. Re
member, no matter wlmt blood remedy you
have tried or intend to to, B. B. B, irt the
only one that will giyc you complete satis
faction.
