Washington, Dec. 26. —With cus tomary caution Senator Gorman, the loader of tho democrats in the flight on the forte hill, lias never admitted that the force bill was dead or even badly wounded, but, on the contrary, has maintained that the democrats must light it unless tho republicans buried it. Other democratic senators share his feelings about it. For ex ample, to-day-Senator Pugh predicted that the force bill would be passed in both houses before congress adjourns.
