Robbers Hold lip a Stage
Huntington, IV, March 22.—The
public stage running between Cass-
ville and Mi 1 Creek, ia this county,
was held up this morning about mid
way between the two plrcjs by three
men, supposed to he tramps. There
were five passengers, two women and
three men, on the stage. The passen

Deveaux Calls on McKinley.
Brunswick, Gj., March 22 —John
H. Deveaux (colored), editor of the
Savannah Tribune and secretary of
the repub'ican state executive com
mittee. is in Brunswick to day. He
came front Thomasville, where he
called on Gov. McKinley. Deveaux
says his visit was purely an act of
courtesy like all the other members of
his party now there, and while he
found republicans from various south
ern stales in Thomasville, no confer
ence was held on the subject of
delivering votes to McKinley in the
convention.
