Sened io Two Wars.'
THE CRIP ALMOST WON WHERE THE
BULLET FAILED.

InflimiHnof the Ttleran.
(From the Herald, Woodstock, J’a.)
There is an old soldier in WnodsLvk, Vn. f
who served in the war with Mexico ami in
the war of the rebellion, Mr. Levi Mclntiiilf.
He passed through both these wars without
a serious wou ld. The hardriiips, howivtr,
told seriously on him, for when the y;rip
attacked him four yean ago it nearly killed
him. Who can look on the infirtmi.es of a
veteran without a feeling of the dot
sympathy? His townspeople saw him
fined to his house so prostrated with great
nervousness that he could not hold a V
mod fork at the table, scarcely able to walk
too. and as he attempted it. he* often stnnd
and fell. They sawhim treated by the !
talent to be had—but still be suffered op
four years, and gave up finally in cle puir.
One day, however, he was struck by the
Account of a cure which bad been (fleeted
by the use of Hr. Williams Pink Pills,
immediately ordered a box and conimei
taking them. He says he was greatly
lieved within three days time. The blo< d found
its way to bis fingers and his hands which
had been palsied assumed a natural color
And he was soon enabled to use hi.- knife win
fork at the table. He has recovered hi
strength to such an extent that he ie able fi
chop wood, shock com and do bis rct-uln

filty-two pound weight with one list.-I imc
says he does not km w what Hr. Williams
1'iuk Pills ve done for others. Inn knows
that they have done a great \v«.rk fir him.
He was in town last .Mon.b-.y, en::t day
And was loud in his praises of the inedieim
that had given him so great relief. He pur
chased another box and took it home will
him. Mr. Molnturfl is w illing to make ufli
davit to these facts.
The proprietors of Pr.Williams' Tink 1’illi
state that they are not a patent inedu itie but
a prescription used for many year- bv an em

wonderful results with them, curing nil forms
of weakness arising from a watery condition
of the blood or s battered nerves, two fruitful
causes of almost every ill to which flesh i
heir. The pills are also a specific for th
troubles peculiar to females, such a« ruppres

case of men will give speedy relief and effect
a permanent cure in all cases arising from
mental worry, overwork, or excesses of what
ever nature.’ They are entirely harmless and
can be given o weak and sickly children
with the greatest good and without the slight

NOT
LIKE
OTHERS
There is a difference between medi
cines and medicines.
Those of to-day, as a rule, differ from
those of the past in man}' respects.
Fully as great is the difference be
tween Dr. King's
ROYAL GERMETUER
and the ordinary medicines of to-day.
It is unlike them in
THESE FIVE THINGS:
1 • It does not taste like a medi
cine. It is as pleasant to take as
lemonade and makes a most refreshing
drink.
*2, It never nauseates the most
delicate stomach.
It does not swap off one dis
ease for another. It does not set up
one form^ot disease in order to relieve
another as is so often the case.
4. It contains no alcohol or
opium in any form and is always
harmless even when given to a babe
one day old.
5, It does not patch simply, it
cures. It reaches as nothing else
does to the hidden sources of disease
in the blood and removes the cause. It
does this with an ease and power that
have never been equaled.
For all troubles of the Blood. Stomach,
Bowels, Kidneys and Nerves, and for all forms
of MALARIAL POISON It stands pre-eminent—
without a rival or a peer.
