Tomorrow.
Tomorrow! Oh. tomorrow’s
The day that I like beat.
For though my annaet’s clouded
It’a golden farther west.
Observe the little sparrow I
Throughout the dark today
She sings of her tomorrow ’
And the egg ahe’a going to lay.
I hear a sad soul sighing
To leave this vale of teara,”
But make no doubt he’s lying
About a hundred yean.
And feel no twinge of sorrow
. When hi* ship pate to ae» j
The ship that sails tomorrow
Sails roqd enough for me.
For though my sun’s declining
Behind yon hoary hill,
1 know that it la shining
Beyond the summit still;
And howsoe’er 1 Borrow
1 know ’twill pass away—
God gives a glad tomorrow —
For every, sad today.

The Lord mode good women to
r ehow us bow different men are.
Girls wouldn’t mind so much if
the only thing that got chapped
was their faces.
It is lucky for girls that they
understand there are some things
it wouldn’t be good for them to
understand.
The way a man parts bis hair
has a great deal to do with
whether a woman thinks be is a
gentlemen or not.
Every woman shudders to think
-where her husband would go
when be dies if she didn’t pray
for him the way ebe does.
The reason men can forgive girls
for not trying their best to do so
many other thing8 is they do tbeir
best to look the prettiest they can.
The woman who will spend an
bonr daily cold-creaming her face
and doing tbe rest wonders bow a
man can beak to waste ten minutes
every morning shaving. — New

“Sweet Hour of Prayer.”
A dispatch to tbe MorniogNews
yesterday stated that tbe Metho
dist Hymnal Revision Committee,
now in session in Cincinnsti, has
decided to eliminate from the
hymnal “Sweet Hour of Prayer,”
for years a favorite hymn. The
objection to tbe hymn, it is stated,
ie to the last line “Farewell, fare
well, street, bonr of prayer,” it be-
Christian should bid farewell to the
hoar of prayer.
Rev. Ed F. Cook, pastor of
Wesley Monumental church, dis
cussing the matter yesterday, said
that the hymn ie still ueed in tbe
hymnal of the Methodist Episco
pal church, south. He bae given
the matter no eoneideration, he
says, but sees no objection to the
hymn od tbe grounds alleged by
tbe revision committee, and thinks
that there mnet be some further
eauae for tbe committee’s action
in eliminating it from the hymt»
