appeared to be an explosion, wa-
heard at the Masury corner. Peo
ple rushed from all portions of
Broad Street, expecting to find tho
remains of a Black Hand bomb nr
something as horrible.
Instead, large pieces of a thick
plate glass window and two scared
and trembling negroes were found.
It seems that the two were washing
the window, one inside and the oth
er outside. The one inside was
perched on a chair, which chair was
in turn perched on a table, the ta
ble in the window. The chair top
pled, the negro went with it and lilt
the glass a good crack. a
The big window was broken into
many pieces, -the negro thrown to
the floor and the one on the out
side knocked from the ladder and
cut in several places on the arm.
The plate glass was one of the lar
gest in the city.

Coffee Goodness Proven

1 here is something wonderfully satisfying ami fascinating
about this coffee blend th*f has been in daily use for over a
century. Something far different from ordinary coffees. This Is
the coffee that was sotweri in the quaint French Market, New
Orleans, to society bptTes and beaux of the olden time. And that
was so liked by Apflrew Jackson, Henry Clay and other famous
men. It Js toaajrthe same identical, deliciously aromatic blend
that was fmnaira over a hundred years ago.
