Mr. Fred Dismuke has joined the
no-fence advocates by removing his
fence in front of his Jackson street
home.
The Commercial Association is
glad to note the progress which Is
being made along this line. Any
one doubting the efficacy of the
movement can readily appreciate Its
benefits by a personal inspection of
the various properties, where the
fences have been removed.
Added to the already long list of
members in the Commercial Asso
ciation are th« names of Messrs. F.

DOG HAD NO RABIES

Rae Was Examined try St-at*
Authorities in Atlanta.
The head of the dog of Dr. Pal
mer’s, which bit little Miss Blanche
McRae, one day last week, as she
was returning from school, was sent
to Atlanta for examination. The re
port by wire, received yesterday,
stated that there was no sign of
rabies to be found.
This news will be received with
pleasure by the many friends of the
little girl.
The dog was killed by Dr. J. C.
Schwencke and the head prepared
for shipment under his direction
At 85 He Marries Again.
Atlanta. Ga., Dec. 7.—James H.
Camp, aged 85, considers »hat he
has arrived at the time to take unto
himself another wife. He is a hale
old man from a plantation near
Rome. Yesterday, his present wife
secured a total divorce on the
ground (hat Mr. Camp occasionally
heat her wit.i a stick, and more than
occasionally sought solace In the
flowing howl.
The old gentleman v as little con
cerned In his wife’s obtaining the
divorce. In fact, he was very pleas
ant about it.
But the thing that did worry him
was that he wanted to be sure to
have the jury remove his disabili
ties at the same time so that he
could marry again as soon as he
wanted to.
The court stared and the jury
grinned, but, after thinking it over,
♦hey decided to grant Mr. Camp’s
request, and, as a local reporter ma
liciously put It. “Mr. Camp’s disa
bilities were removed as far as le-
gal obstacles were concerned.’’
