TWO AltRESTED FOR
ROBBING FREIGHT CAR
Wayri-oai, Sept 28.—Woody Wood-
ruffand Leroy Rogers, who both ap
pear to be around eighteen years of
sge, took the train st Jacksonville,
bound (or points north. Their trip
was uneventful until they reached
Thomasville .where police officers In
terrupted their ride and took them Into
custody.
It seenls that Woody' and Xeroy did
not have tickets for their trip, and yet
tickets would have been of no use in
their case, as the train they rode was
/ freight, and the /car they were in
was a meat car packed with hams,
sausages and bacon.
Officers who arrested them say that
they took a ten-pound package of
sausage from the orderly array in the
cal- and weie preparing to make way
with It when they were apprehended.
It seems that this offense Is an infrac
tion of a federal statute relating to
Interstate commerce, so the boys were
brought to Waycross to appear before
United States Commissioner 0. L.
Garrett They are now in the Ware
county Jail, pending the date of the
bearing. > > '

opening scene on the main street of
Blackville, following which wi

any situations more ludicrous than
many that "Lasses” has written for
