MEDICAL MEN DISCUSS
MALARIA
Malaria will be the chief subject
of discussion at the next meeting of
the Southern Medical Association
which will be held at Chattanooga,
Tennessee, November 13-16, 1922.
As a part of the Southern Medical
Association meeting the National
Malaria Committee will hold its
annual meeting on Nevember 13th.
On the next three days there will be
held a Conference of Malaria Field
Workers, where the problems in
malaria control encountered during
the past season's: work will be discuss
ed and plans Tafd for next year’s
work. All of the State Health Offic
ers of the South, many prominent phy
sicians and sanitary engineers, who
are interested in malaria and its con
trol, will be present at these meetings
and disscuss the latest advances made
in controlling this disease which is
deckoned the most serious of all
health problems in the South.
In addition to these meetings a
malaria exhibit will be displayed dur
ing the entire week. This exhibit
will give a simple but vivid picture
of malaria and its effects upon the

Waycross, Ga., Nov. 21.—Final prep
arations have been completed by the
Methodists of Waycross for the
tertainment of the 1922 session of the
South Georgia Conference which
opens here tomorrow morning. Promi
nent ministers and laymen from all
sections of South Georgia as w<
an unsually large numlber of disting
uished preachers, and officials high in
church circles throughout the country
will be present at the most Import
ant church conference of the year for
South Georgia Methodists.
An eleventh hour survey by the
housing committee found all the ex
pected delegates provided with homes
while additional quarters have been
anged for a large number of lay-
