shade purposes and longevity, and
they propose to plant them exclusive

only the live oaks for that purpose.
If there are places where trees are
needed, persons should notify the
chairman of the street commitee, Al
derman Hopkins, or : Mr. Sanders,
at superintendent, at once, so they
be placed. If pertons desire dog
wood or other trees In some special
places, the street committee will be
glad to superintend and take care of
the planting, if the trees are furnished
by the property owners.
Thomasville needs these trees and
it Is a splendid move for the future
beauty of the city. The trees already
the streets are wonderful but there
many vacant places and they will
all be filled. Let everybody co-operate
and assist the street force In making

Will It Reach
Thomasville?—
Will that cold from the Northwest
reach Thomasville? The papers yes-
day said it was headed for Georgia,
but so far it has not arrived and it U
hoped It may have been sidetracked
on the way. For the past week the
weather has been ideal and it would
be a very unpelasant change to have
ice and frost Instead of bright sun
shine and spring-like breezes. For
two winters Thomasville has enjoyed
delightful weather, with practically no
cold to speak of. and some folks would
like to see a third winter of the same
character.
