'The home of Mr. D. Rhett Pringle,
on North Dawson St, caught fire this
morning at about nine o’fclock. when
the roof to the kitchen was ablaze..
The fire is said to have been caused

Mr. Paul Moore Dies
In Florida—
Mr. K. K. Moore haa received the
news of tbe death in Dunedin, Fla., of
a nephew, Mf. Paul Moore, son of Mr.
P. A. Moore. The young man bad

Were In Town Yesterday—
There were a large number of men
from Perry Fla., and Adjacent Georgia
counties In Thomasrtlle yesterday
afternoon and last night The party
waa in search of the negro, who slew
a white school teacher near Perry Fla.,
last week. They carried" shot guns
and other weapons, and created quI‘~
a 'bit of excitement during their stay.
The negro waa said to have gone
toward Quitman, where he had a
friend living, and dogs were put
hla trail there, leading off tow,

have been seeking the home of
sweetheart, who lived near Boston
and the officers were watching this
place alao. The mob went Into Boston
and If he waa there probably frighten
ed him away. No trace Of him has
been found so far as is known. Cer
tain it la that he failed to show up here
aa the mob expected.

Rotary Club Holds
Interesting Meeting—
The Rotary dnb held a most
Interesting session today at. which
time various members of the club
told of practice common to ordinary
business, which would not measure
to the etrictest standards of Business

coming year and decide what would
be done with the bulk of the club
money next year. It was decided
to give the fifty dollar scholarship
again this year, and also to give a
set of educational.works to the Vashtl
School or, at least, be Instrumental In
getting these books for Vashtl. One
other thing ot importance was decided
at this meeting and that was the fact
that after this all money made by the
clnb will be tithed and one-tenth used
for charity.
A report was also made on the Chau
tauqua and tbe required number ol
names have been obtained so the Red-
path, Chautauqua will appear In Thom
asville In March or April, 1923. The
cact date haa not been settled as yet
Tbe next meeting will be held on
December 19th, and all members are
.asked to bring some contribution for
the poor, to help make their Christ
little happier.
