(By Assort; Detroit, Mich., Dec. 8.—Mrs. Mai Blenn Ford solicited the services of a gunman to kill her wealthy band, Ney J. Ford, and ofTered the gunman $20,000 for the job, and gav him a photograph of her husband t- make sure that the right man wa slain, according to sworn statements of four detectives, whose investiga tions resulted In Mrs. Ford's deten tion on a charge of attempting commit murder. Denying the charge, Mrs. Ford de clared she is the victim of “a frame up," growing out of domestic difficul ties which include a suit for divorce. PRESIDENT MAY VISIT N. 0. Sheriff Lipscomb rode to Valdosta, G.a.. yesterday af ternoon in his search for Charlie Wright, negro, believed to be the slay ■ of Miss Ruby Hendry, whoso throat as cut Saturday arternoon. The sheriff went back alone to lake up the search where It was abandoned early yesterday morning by a party ol approximately 150 men. These men. headed by the sheriff and blood hounds, took the hunt Wednesday at noon, which lasted throughout the night and carried them in the vicinity of Thomasvllle and Valdosta, Ga. The party returned home about 10:30 o’clock yesterday morning.
