HARD TO IMAGINE Nobody would Imagine that the dai» ger of airships colliding while flying, would be material, even though there were many more planes in operation than there is at the present time. Long in the National Statuary Hall will meet with a ready response on the part of patriotic Georgians Nearly twenty years ago. Dr. Long, who first applied the theory of anaes thesia to medical practice, and Alexan der H. Stephens, vice president of the Confederacy and Georgia's greatest statesman, were selected by legislative resolution, as the two foremost eftf- zens In the history of the state and e two whose statues should repre- nt the state in Statuary Hall. The legislature being without con stitutional authority to appropriate money to provide the statues, tha matter has been allowed to drag along, to Georgia’s shame. That this belated move will meet with success there can be no doubt. Citizens of Clarke coun ty. the home of Dr. Long, have already pledged 91.000 toward the fund. The movement to provide the Long statue will, undoubtedly, be followed to pro vide to similar statue of Stephens. Writing in the Atlanta Journal, John T.
