along any lines. The calm and quiet
manner m which the political situa
tion has ended this year Indicates that
the people here are more sensible
than in any other town in the world
on elections. There are two candi
dates for Mayor and practically two
tickets for council, and yet the race
has not been interspersed with any
bitterness or mud. It has gone its
