Making a Profit
Suppose wo had to find a new customer every time wo
made a sale? Trade would soon run out, and we wouldn’t
have any business, would we?
We’re agreed on that, so it’s plain the only way to
make a profitable busi.iess is to sell again and again to the
same customer.
But the customer w~>nt come back to buy again and
again unless he is satisfied the first time.
So we find that its giving satisfactory goods, satisfac
tory prices, and satisfactory service that brings the cus
tomer back, and make? business profitable.

Chicago, March 8.—Edvard Hill

Illinois Vice commission today, that
he thought in some cases there was
a connection between low wages and
immorality among women.
Replying to a question, he said he
thought a woman would sell her
virtue before she would starve.
Hillman stated there were SI 7

store, of which number, 99 receive

That the Vice Commission’s worn

when a letter was received by Chair

President of Mandel Brothers, stat
ing that he had raised the minimum
wage to his juvenile employees to
four dollars weakly. These are girls
from 13 to 15 years old.
