Mr. IMerre Titus, a former Thom

a most exciting expedition into Mexi
co, to rescue one of the men em
ployed in his company, and who was

successful and filled with most thrill

the shoulder during one of the
fights, he says, in writing to a Thom

party was in most dangerous pre

the hardest kind of fighting with
rebels.
The San Diego paper gives the fol

party of three:
"Bringing a tale of rebel atroci

here a few days ago and registered
at the San Diego hotel. In com
pany with P. S. Titus and Harry
Lord, ho had occasion recently to
work through the country along the
Mexican west coast and in the neigh

"According to his accounts, told in
a long letter to The Evening Trlb
une, ihe acts of savagery performed
by the rebels are on a par with the
worst recorded In the history of the
orld. He calls upon President Wil
son and Secretary Bryan to do some
thing for the American? who cannot
get out of that land, and he points
