At an autopsy held juet a little
pant uoon today a bullet was fouud
tn the brain of. Miss Dorothy Haug.
the girl who was believed murdered
ui tho Southern Home early Mon
day morning. Tho autopsy was held
at the instance of a Pinkerton detect
ive. who is in tho city investigating
the matter.
The ball entered the left temple
pursuing a straight spurse through
the brain glancing backward where
it struck the skull on the right side.
It was found there after the skull
was especially fond of her because
of the great promise of mental at-
tailwnent which she believed she pos
sessed.
Mrs. Haug came to the -South ton
her health, being unable to stend
the climate and while here took up
tho work of delivering the Stod
dard lectures. Her daughters came
with her to remain here. Mr. Haug
was especially devoted to the dead
girl and was here to visit thorn at r .
one time. They also spent a *hort
time with him since coming here.
His work demaads^lite presence al-j That a verdict of tne Coroner’s
1 jury in the case of the death of Miss
j Dorothy Haug in this city Monday
the character of the girl brought
tears to the eyes of many of those
who attended.
After the short talk, "Jesus Pilot
Me," was suug after which the ben
ediction was spoken and the friends
dispersed after looking for the last
time upon the face of the girl whoso
tragic and mysterious death has
brought a pall of sorrow and sad
ness wherever It is known. The face
was calm and sweet In its white-
lined resting place, the mark of the
wound being covered with a band
age which was placed across the fore
head. Resting amid a great abund
ance of flowers sent by friends, the
face was untroubled and peaceful,
without any semblance of the grave j n ar ris
and the horrible catastrophe which
took - away that young life.
