belonging to the county aud situated in
the neighborhood of Freclonia church.
This laud was bought by. the county
thirty years ago for the purpose of es
tablishing on it a poor farm. The farm_
was never put there, but the investment
proved a profitable one for the county.
The 325 acres . were sold to Mr. O. L.
Heald at $7.00 per acre;' they cost prob
ably one seventh of that amount.

number of people have been interested
in the matter but the much desired talk
wire has never yet been erected.
Mr. Robert Gamble Jr. has been push
ing the matter during the last few
weeks and definite results will soon be
accomplished. The Southern Bell Tele^
phone itself, has announced intention of
building the line, instead of allowing it
to be done by outside parties. Work on
the line will be commenced next month.
