Boston, Ga. Aug. 2,.liKH
On Sunday night Mr. Ed. Bailey died
here after a long illness with typhoid
fever. He was one of Boston’s best cit
izens, a man of fine character, aud a de
voted member of the Methodist church.
His funeral took place at fonr o'clock
this afternoon from Summer Hill. He
leaves a wife and four children.

Mr. James Mitchell

accident early Sunday morning. He
was greasing the wheels on a car, when
he stumbled and fell with ids arm across
the track. > His arm and forearm were
bo badly mangled that amputation was
necessary. He was removed to Dr.
McIntosh’s Sanitarium and the opera
tiou took place tliere. He rallied nicely
from tha shock and waa recovering rap
idly yesterday. Mr. Mitchell is a broth-
er of Mr. Taylor Mitchell and a valued
employe of the A. C. L.
