to secure a loan by Mrs. R. A. Cooke
to Holsey Carter. There being con
tracted In said deed a power of
sale unto Mrs. R. A. Cooke upon tbe
default In the payment of said note
Upon the terms of said deed I will
sell at public outcry between the
legal hours of #ale on the first/Tues
day In March, 19.06, before the court
house door In the city of ThomasvIUe,

said state- and county, known as lot

Court of said county, said lot front
ing north-east 50 feet on Howard
street and running back south-wesf
■one hundred and two and one quar

Upon the sale of the aforesaid
property as contracted In said debt
the principal and Interest of said
loan will be paid, the expenses of
the sale will be paid, then the re
mainder, If any, will be paid to said
Holsey Carter.

from date, the same being secured

sale therein contracted, after adver
tisement In a newspaper of general
circulation In Thomas county once
a week for four weeks.

Georgia. Also the right to extend
Its main line by branch road 'or oth
erwise from Oaklawn, Brooks coun
ty, Georgia, to Boston, Thomas coun
ty, Georgia, and from thence or
some point near Boston to the Flor
ida line on the south.
6th. . Petitioner desires to have
granted to It the xrlght to exercise
the powers and privileges conferred
upon railroad corporations under the
Constitution of Georgia and all "the
laws governing railroad companies
at’the date of the granting of this
amendment or that may hereafter
become law In said state and govern
ing and controlling and building and
operating and condemning of prop
erty, etc., In the operation of rail
roads in the State of Georgia, and
the construction or railroads.
'6th. Petitioner do Intend to go
forward without any unreasonable
delay to secure subscriptions to the
stock of said road and to proceed
to construct, equip, maintain and
operate a branch road from Its main
line from the points herein before
described.
7th. And In the creation, con
struction and operation of said road
it desires embraced In said amend
ment all tbe powers and privileged
granted to similar railrond charters.
8th. Petitioner shows that the
amendment or amendments herein
asked for is by tbe unanimous vote
of the stockholders of the Georgia
Northern Railway Company.
9th. Petitioner shows It has given
four weeks notice by publication of
Its Intention to apply for the amend-
ipent here in set. out to Its original
charter.,
Wherefore petitioner prays that
the amendment herein asked for be
allowed as Is provided for under thd
jaws of Georgia.
