Master Arthur Wright Host at Most
Delightful Affair
Master Arthur Wright was a
charming little host on Friday after
noon, when he oelebrated his ninth
birthday. Many games were ployed
on the front lawn* by the happy lit
tle ones who were Invited.
A "grab bag" was hung on the
porcb and each tot was blindfolded
and given a stick and told to break
the bag. After many attempts, tha
bags,bag was anally broken and Its
contents (which consisted of ants,
apples, candy, pop corn, flogs aad
other things which delight all obUd-
lah hearts) were scattered every
where and It did not take the exalted
children long to gather np all their
hands could hold. After this ell

hearts. The table on which stood
the beautiful birthday cake with Its

The matter was not appealed aad
the ballot commenced. The first one
resulted In three votes for R. j.
Miller and three for R. S. Burch, as
did the next five. Before the sev
enth ballot commenced Judgo Hop
kins offered tbs following resolution
to the effect that the board request
Mr. Miller to cast the- deciding vote
for himself:
WHERAS. By reason of tho rul

member to oast his ballot by proxy
there exists a dead-lock In the eloo-

clearly the choice of a majority of

Dear Friend:
I write to appeal to you In behalf
of our Orphans Home, located In Ma-'
oon, Go. Will yon In your plans for
benevolent contributions. In this
year be sure not to forget these de
pendent little ones. Some In their
real for other good causes forgot
last year, consequently the Home's
finances fell short of 1303 ovor 3500
If this falling short should continue
the. home would have to close Its
doors to many of those who apply
for admission. It would be sad In
deed to have to turn them away.
The home merits the support of
every benevolent person. let, be-

turned away. and, bocauso of the

teach the boys the use of tools.
