quer” hy the young ladies of Lncy Cobb
Institute Friday evening. It was one
of tho most delightful plays ever pre
sented in Seney-Stovall chapel. A cul
tured and appreciative audience was
present and the youLg ladles were given
high praise for their entertainment.

the residence of Miss Ellen Mell on Hill
street will be given a delightful recital
by her music pupils. A number of in
teresting and beautiful renditions of

Mrs. Stephen C. Upson was the host
ess at a large card party on Wednesday
afternoon, given in honor of Mrs. Todd
and Miss Horlbeck. Five handed euchre
was played, Mrs. Fred Orr winning the
prize for most progressions, a silver
tea bell, and Mrs. W. W. Thomas rr
cciving a bronze candle stick as lone
hand prize. Mies Annie Brumby was
awarded the consolation prize, and Mis:
Seney Upson the booby. The natural
beauty of Mrs Upson’s cottage was en
hanced by most artistic decorations of
