in the white hangings of Ascensiontide,
aud Ascension lilies, and special music
has been provided for the occasion, in
eluding particularly triumphant Te-
D um. The Consecration service ia a
most impressive one. .
After the thanksgiving and benedic
tion of this service, will be said Morn
ing Prayer, Sermon br the Bishop, and
the service of the Holy Communion. In
the evening will take plaoe the Con
firmation service, with sermon by the
Bishop, and music by the choristers.
The consecration of the church today
marks the consummation of the hopes
of the parish for years. Emannel par

of nearly a thousand dollars this year,
every cent of bonded indebtedness has
been pa*d, and the congregation is now
ready to offer to God a church free from
debt. The entire property is valued at
$25,000, whioh includes an acre of land,
with room for a rectory which will soon
be built. The veBtry has also on hand a
fond bequeathed by the late Mr. A. K.
Ohilds, to oomplete the porches, and
start building the tower. This will be
a memorial to Mr. Ohilds Other beau
tiful momorials in the ohnroh are a sil
ver alms basin given by the parish in
memory of their reotor. Dr. Henderson ;
a carved oak font and brass ewer, given
by Mrs, R. D. Moore, in memory of Dr.
Moore; a leather bound Bible, prayer
book and hymnal, by Mrs. John Neyitt;
seven branched candlestioks, memor
ial to Mrs. John S. Tyson; the two
Eucharistic Lights (brass,) given by Miss
Rosa Woodberry as a memorial to Mrs,
S. B. Woodberry ; and an oak Litany
desk by Miss Sarah Frierson, in mem
ory of Mr Jbb. D. Frierson; and the
five beautifal stained glass windows—
one to Dr. Oamak, and one each to Prof.
Chas Morris. Dr. R. D. Moore, and
Prof. O P. Willcox, who were vestry
men in the Ohnrcli; the other window
