THE DEBUTANTE.
Apisirently a debutante is a migh
ty important society factor in the new
order of things and every one lias
'stand from under and let her
swing". Even the gowns of the fall
brides can't take the shine off some
of her costumes. One important deb
utante, a most attractive blond, lias
chosen an original costume for her
coming out ball. It is a picture gown
of white lace, bordered with sable.
On her head she will wear a tiny cap
edged with the same becoming fur
and her shoes are lace edged with a
narrow rolled over ltorder of fur and
clasped by old buckles. For evening
wear 'fur in conjunction with lace i;
most popular. Lace opera cloaks lin
ed with white rabbit and bordered
with silver fox are the latest thing
for dance and tlu-atVe wear. The
most elaborate evening dresses are
made of Irish crochet lace in the prin-
cesse style, hemmed with salde, squir
rel or ermine. Lace ruffles are also
seen on fur coats and muffs. Good
furs and real laee, says one dress
maker, will make the dowdiest wo
man look well dressed."—Exchange.
