-I. R. PALMER & SONS, DRUGGISTS,
THOUGHT HE WAS
UP IN THE AIR.
Surrounded by u mob of curious
but delighted people, suys the Phil
adelphla Press, a man walked up Mar
ket street late Saturday night balanc
ing himself on the car rail like a
tightrope walker. Ignoring wagons
and street cars, whose drivers wore
demanding a clear track, the equili
brist slowly and carefully picked hla
way up the street, never veering an
inch from the rail.
“Is he crazy or simply paying a
heo," queried the crowd. At Tenth
and Market streets the rail walker
was halted by a policeman, who ask
ed him what he was doing. At first
the man refused to answer, hut when
the policeman threatened to arrest
him he said: "I'm a structural Iron
worker, and I thought I was on a
girder twenty stories above ground.
When I get jagged the only place I
can walk is on the car rail."
