BATTERIES
UNCERTAIN
The batteries lor the opening
game Friday have not been defi
nitely announced as yet, but the
chances are that Embry will oc
cupy the mound, with Bomar of
football fame, doing the receiving
for Vandy. Andy Chambers, Geor
gia ace, will probably bo in the
rifle pit for the Bulldogs* with
Powers wearing the maak.
Chambers la one of the best col
lege pitchers in the south and it is
likely that he will do the mound
duty as Coach White wants to get
the jump on Wade’s men if it is
possible.
Tho senior parade, which ii
staged annually by the senior
class of the University, was to
have been held during the aeries,
but was forced to lie postponed
until a later date.
The Friday game will start sf,
five o'clock, while the Saturday
game will begin one hour* earlier,
-our o'clock- to know the Vandy
players to catch a train for home.
