So said Clara Phillips, the “Hammer Murderess”
Thursday looming in the railway yards of the Southern
Pacific here, in an interview with a representative of the
Associated Press.
In company with her sister, Mrs. Etta Mae Jackson
and Los Angeles officers, the “Tiger Woman" reached
San Antonio at four-fifty o’clock Thursday morning, on
the last lap of the journey which will end as tho gates of
San Quentin prison close upon her and she begins serving
her ten year sentence for the murder of Mrs. Alberta
Phillips..
