editor-in-chief of the i'undora, the
college annual, for next year. The
selection wax mode by a commit
tee from the faculty of the univer
sity utter three names had been
submitted to it by the student body
It is said by — ' -

a difficult one in that ull three
names given it were leaders in col
lege. each having done well in va
rious phases of college* life. The
bulletin announcing the selection
said: “The committee .appointed
by the chancellor to select an edi-
tof-ln-chief for next year's Pan
dora from the names of three ex
traordinary good men has decid
ed upon Hecvey Cleckley.
The other two men whose names
were given to tho committee were
Colquitt Carter Jr., of Atlanta and
William Tate of Tute, both out
standing figures in university ac
tivities.
Since Mr. Cleckly has been qt the
university he has made a remark

honoruy club; “G“ club; Gridiron
Club; is on the editorial staff of
the Georgia Cracker, monthly publi
cation; is a famous track mun, and'
