Expressed By Dr. An
drew M. Soule and Mr.
Alex R. Lawton.
Athens, Ga., uune 30. 1923.
Editor Banner-Herald:
I read with considerable interest
the article in Sunday’s Athens
‘ Banner-Herald of June 24th. “Sug
ge' tlng ways to stop the Exodus
of the Negro;” compiled from *•.
report of the Georgia Hankers As
sociation and addresses of Dr. A.
M. Soule and Mr. Alex K. Lawton.
Without intending to be 'either
egotistical or personal, I am frank
to say, Jn my opinion, the ways and
lack of «elf protection apd the
selfishness of thtf world. ItH* the
policy of anyone buying an article
to buy it as chf <tply as possible, and
this is what tne world does when
they purchase from the farmer. It
is done in all trades, in all lines.
Stop and think for a minute.

Tuberculosis Being Checked By

PARIS.—After several months’ actual trial, Prof. Gabrilovitch’s
new anti.tuberculosis serum is now being pronounced ^markable.
It has been developed through experiments with the abandoned tu

The. new.Heium Is called phagolysin. It ban the advantage of be- •

Instead of an injection, which necessitates hospital treatment. It
Is described as setting up an Immediate and effective resistance'to
the bacillus without the uncertainties which attend tho use of Koch’a

it is said to have had excellent (results.
