Pay Street Paving
City council was asked Monday
night to help defray the expense
of paving on Prince avenue In the
Normal school section by J.' L.
MLeroy and W. T. Florence, rep
resenting property owners.
The matter was referred to the
finance committee fo Investiga
tion.
The street was paved about the
time the city extended its corpor
ate limits taking in that section.
The citizens originally signed ft
contract with the county to pay
for part and the county part.
Shortly afterwards they were taken
into the city limits and they be
lieve the city should help defray
the expense inasmuch as they pay
city taxes and the street now be
longs to the city.
This was the only matter brought
before council.
