the cost of men’s clothing and fur
nishings by reducing the cost of
production Is the announced pur
pose of an organised effort which
has been started by the National
Association Of (Retail clothiers.
This is planned to be accomplish
ed by the formation of a clothing
Industry commission consisting of
a representative from each of the
allied Induatrles In the clothing
trade.
The lowering process In cost Is
expected to be done without cut
ting Into legitimate profits, accord-
tng to Sol Schloss of Indianapolis,
the new president of tho associa
tion.
