We find the following coroplimen*

and Constitutionalist:
‘•lion. Pope Barrow, of Athens,
was yesterday in the city on legal bus

his inaa/Hrieods, who -hold him in
high adfhiAition as, a lawyer and
statesman. Mr. Barrow is .one of
the ablest men in Georgia, and* has
left valuable impress upon the statute
and organic law§ of the state. There
are many who wish to see him called
to higher posts of duty,* and nothing
but his owp disinclination will ever
prevent his promotion.”
And the following in the last num

••We have heard, and have no rea*
son to doubt our authority, that Gen.
Brotvne is now preparing for the
press, and to lie published shortly by
Messrs. Appleton & Co., an exposi-

States. We hope that this is true, nr
such a work will prove a valuable aid
to those engaged \n the study of re

disregard of the laws regulating the
rights of personalty. The climax
was reached when the mother-in daw
captured a ‘nice deep skillet,’ then
nutters became serious. Both par
ties appeal .;d before his honor and
proceeded at one and the same time
to convince him of the justice of the
claim of each to the skillet. Solicitor
and counsel being totally (ignored sat
as spectators. All efforts to silence
them being of no "avail, and affairs
beginning to asstime the position of
involving the witnesses in an alter
