we are ab c to judge. The Civil and Criinitntl
Cases with tho cost and fines are properly entered
upon his book. We also find vouches ibrah orders
drawn upon Treasurer corre t and receipts ftr

We recommend that the f, ounty Judge receive
for is salary eight hundred (800) dollars per an
num without any of the perquisites arising from
the office.
We recommend that twenty-five dollars of the
rent ot the room in the Court House by -• r. Speer
be remitted in consideration of the fact that it has
been occupied by Judge Thomas for the protection
of the public property.
\\ e rcctmimet.il that the office of County So
licitor be continued.
We recommend fur her, that not more than
sixty per cent, upon the State tax be levied for
couuty purposes.
We’recommend further! that thu Treasurer
take ut) as fust as possible the outstanding
bonds of the county, and further that the nusB-
iug lawbooks in the Clerks office be supplied,
aud he be instructed not to allow the books to
be tak n from the office.
We recommend <hut the Ordinary be required
to keep nil the hooks belonging Vo bis office at
the Coart’Uouse.
We recommend that the presentments be
published in the Southern Banner and \\ aten-
inan, papers published in thia city, in eligabie
type ana tiiut tour copies of the same be kept
on file with the Clerk of the Court, one to be
given to the Grand Jury at August term, 1878,
and oue to the Gruud Jury at February term,
1879. und that this report be spread upon the
minutes of the Court. , t
