The Atlanta Constitution.
Under its new tr.anagemen'. The Atlanta
Constitution has won for itselt 'he title of the
leading journal of the south. Its enterprise,
during the recent election excitement, in send
ing correspondents to different portions of the
country, and its scries of special telegrams from
Washington while the electoral commission was
engaged in consumsting the fraud that placed
radicalism once more in power in onr national
councils, are evidences conspicuous enough to
( rove that no expense will be spared to make
'he Constitution not only a leader in the dis
cussion of matters of public concern, but a
leader in the dissemination of the latest and
most reliable news. The'* is no better time
than now to subscribe e -- r
k Fresh and Mgareos NewsiMi*,.
Albeit, there has been aq asi settlement of
one of the most difficult and dangerous pro
blems of modem federal politics, the discussions
spring therefrom and the results likely to ensue
have lost nothing of their absorbing interest.
In addition to this, the peon!- of Georgia ar
now called upon to settle
The Convention Question,
and in the discussion of this important subject
(in which THK-eoxmrnmoN will take a leading
part) every Georgian is interested. If a conven

earhist and fullest embodiment in the columns
of The Constitution, and this fact alone will

will endeavor, by all the means that the pro

and necessary to hold its place ns a leader of
southern opinion and as a purveyor of the latest
news. Its editorials will be thoughtful, timely
and vigorous—calm and argumentative in then
methods and thoroughly southern and demo

fresh, reliable and carefully digested. It will

The Sun will continue to be the strenuous

the counting of votes, enforced by military

this purpose a numerous and carefnlly selected
