Chicago, with elimination tryouts In j
the dashes and other events In which
an unusually large number of cutrles
have been made.
Tho meet, said to he the first truly
national event of its kind In this
country and designed to become an
annual feature, will furnish competi
tion largely of an individual nature.
Individual stars who hold sectional,
national or international records art-
entered und with the leaders of the
country competing the sponsors of the
contest look for world’s records If
track and field conditions are favor
able.
Nearly 100 colleges and universi
ties front every part of the country-
have sent the best men of their track ,
teams. Nuinberous members of the :
American Olympic team are entered |
