Play Preaches a Profound Les

in Athens.
Atlanta, October 30.—“Damaged
Goods,” that most-talked-of, problem
play that set New York by the. ears
and was the subject of world-wide
comment, is coming to Atlanta. It
will come south on a special tour un
ties the auspices of the American Med
ical society, and will be shown at the
Atlanta theater.
Written by Brieux, a member of the
French academy and one of the great
literacy lights of Europe, it deals with
a terrible subject, the consequences
of a well-known disease contracted
through sinning.
There was talk of censorship at
first, but finally both censors and
public began to realize that the pro
found lesson it taught justified the
play’s existence. The date for the
appearance of the play in Atlanta has
not yet been set.
is understood that this play will
be seen in Athens during the present
season.

treatments could relieve it
C- E. Gauss, who experimented for
years on a treatment for Catarrh, found
that after perfecting a balm that relieved
the nose and throat troubles quickly, he
could not prevent the trouble

On test cases, he could
completely remove all sign:

Careful experiment* and investigations have shown
that as the troubles were expelled from the nose and
throat, the real cause of the disease was overlooked
and in a short time the Catarrh would return stronger
than ever. Mr. Gauss has gone way ahead of the
ordinary methods of treatment and has provided a
remedy that

Drop a Postal to the Senator at
Washington and He Will Send
You a Copy of This Valuable
Work on the Boll Pest—Sec-

Off the Press. Y
(Special to,The-Herald.)
Atlanta, October 30.—Senator Hoke
Smith has just made arrangements
by which any farmer in Georgia who
wants it can get a copy of the most
valuable publication upon the Mexican
boll weevil which has ever been pre
pared by the United States govern
ment. It was published in 1912, and
the demand for it was so great that
the first issue has been entirely ex
hausted. <
But Senator Smith a few days ago
secured action by the senate authoriz
ing the publication of 4,800 additional
copies. The book contains two hun
dred pages, illustrated, gives a
complete history and des^Pption of
the weevil, together withTts habits
and the best methods of resisting its
injury to crops.
Senator Smith has secured a large
number of these additional publica
tions, and has expressed a desire to
place them in the hands of those farm
ers really interested in the study of
the question. He will send a copy
ny one who drops him a postal
card asking for it.
