They met this convict in eompany
with another negro and asked him
what lie was doing out there. He
replied that lie had been pardoned.
The suit lie wore was a very rag
ged one and knowing that they
give a new suit to every convict
when turned loose, he decided to
pick him up and carry him hack
anyhow. They are $50 better off
by 7 so doing.
