FOR CRUM
As this has been a very busy year
so far with the farmers they've bad
no lime to talk politics, but while
we have no time or talent to talk
politics we have time to think about
about • the boys who are in the
business and will proceed to give
you our thoughts on the race for
senator.
First:- Why we are supporting
Col. Crum for the senate. Becanse
we thiuk he is the best qualified
man in the raoe, being a man fully
capacitated to attend to the peoples
business, oarefully guarding their
every interest and remaining vigilant
for the welfare of the people whom
be represents. Again we are
supporting him beoause we think
when in the senate he will devote
his time to the people's business,
-favoring what he thinks to be to the
best interest of the people of his
district and opposing every measure
that are burdensome to his people
or cause dissension among his
fellow men. We favor him beoause
we thiuk as a servant of the people
he will stand aloof from the subtle
influence of the powerB that weild
such an influence of assemblies that
their methods are avoided by every
sincere servant of the people who
tries to enact the will of the people
into law. Then we are supporting
him becanse we think he will go
into the discussion of every measure
which comeB up ni that deliberative
body for consideration unfettered by
courtesies of corporations and
undismayed by the efforts of every
organization that seeks to prevent
just legislation; seeking . the
enactment of just laws the repealing
of unjust ones and an economical
disbursement of the states funds.
Again we are supporting him because
in him we think the 14th district
will have one of the ables rep
resentatives who ever occupied a
seat in that august body from this
district, being a servant of thp
people and beholding himself as
such he will forget Eelf and work for
the good ol his people and not his
own glory, never asking for pro
motion until he has earned <t.
Lastly, we are supporting him
because we think he will remain
true to the benevolent institutions
of the state, work unceasingly for
the advancement the of cause 01
education do all that is in hie power
to make the next senate noted for
i\p conservatism and employ all lit
energies 10 place in history as tin:
wisest legislative body ever
assemble! i« th'B’Ktnl < ’ : 11110"
