The twins arrived, yesterday and
were greatly admired by the many
friends of tho Smith and Powell
families until one was lost last night.
Mrs. Anna Ellison of Vienna and
Mr. Whit Horne of Cordele were
married this evening and will leave
tonight for St. Louis.
If 1 were a plump girl fixing for
a campmeeting or piomu to make
a tnashy I would go to Walton Bros,
for my trimming. That house has
over 8,000 yards of Hamburg
edging, insertion and lpee, and even
the small boys pause to gaze on it
as they pass tho big show ease
containing it.
Tl.jiro is excursion from Tifton to
White Springs every Sunday on the
G S & F road. Those who wish to
go from hero may go to Tifton or
Valdosta, or anywhere down there,
Saturday night-and catch the excur
sion train Sunday morning. We
regret that such a tram does not
run all the way from Macon.

YEARLY MEETING
Tho yearly meeting of the Prim
itive Baptist church at old Cross
Roads, now enlied Mt, Bezar, was
held Sunday. Elder P G MoDonald
was assisted by Elders Lord and
Spillers. The ordinance of tho
Lord's Supper and the washing of
feet was conducted according to the
faith and order of that church.
After sorvioe, dinner was announced
and onjoyed by the congregation,
there being plenty and to spare and
everybody invited. Watermelons
were also plentiful, cool and free.
The church at old Mt. Bozai
hold a similar service and was en
joyed as much by those who
attended.
