FIXES AGE FOR GIRLS TO

Gov. Wftrttold. of Maryland, has
Created A stir by telling the gradu

at whioh tho girl should marry. In
an interview he said:
“Young girls just out of school
are not equipped for the ordinary
household duties of wives and for
the cares and trials of motherhood,
They should, after sohool, spend
some time with tbeir parents, giv

something the every day wOl’k

The girl who marries too early
misses many of the pleasures of
life. She is doomed to spend her
youthful days in the trying and
taxing oares of motherhood and
household dutic*, with broken
health and run down nerves, before
she has passed out ot her teens.”
