The crowd was about equally
divided when Tate began speak
ing, hut when he had finished, it
seemed, from all appearances,
tlmt Tate bad captured the great
er part of the crowd. B was ac
knowledged by some of the
strongest Third party men that
the Third party was gradually
losing ground, and that Tate’s
yote will far cxeeed the Demo
cratic veto, cast in October.
This is good news, and we hope
to hear, when the returns conic
in, that Carter Tate carried
White crock, for wo believe the
pcoplo arc too honest to he lead
astray far enough to cause them
in cast their vote tor the “Par-
eon,”
Mrs. Lease has come out for
the republicans. This is to lie
expected. Wo have no doubt
that she has been in the pay of
tho republican party from the
first. The object of ihe move
ment in Georgia is clearly shown
by the relation of its leaders with
Boss Buck. But the farmers of
this state are not of the sort to he
gulled by any such movement.
