The proprietor of this celebrated medicine justly claims for it a superiority over all remedies ever offer ed to the puoiic tor the xaft, cerhlin , speedy per manent cure of Ague and Fever .or Cl,ills and Fever whether of short or longstanding. He refers to the entire Western and Southwestern country to bear him testimony to the t ruth of the assertion, that In no case whatever will it fail to cure, if the directions are strict ly followed and ca ried out. In a great many cases a single dose has been sufficient for a euro, and whole families have been cured by a single bottle, with a per fect restoration of the general health. It is, however, prudent, and in every case more certain to cure, if its use is continued in smaller doses for a week or two af ter the disease has been checked, more especially in difficult and long standing cases. Usually, this medi cine will' not require any aid to keep the bowels in good order; should the patient, however, require a cathartic medicine, after having taken three or four doses of the Tonic, a single dose of BULL’ 1 * VEGETA BLE FAM’LY PII.LS will be sufficient. DR. JOHN BULL’S Principal Office No. 40 Fifth, Cross street, Louisville, Ky, Bull’s Worm Destroyer. To my United States and World wide Read era: lIIAAE received many testimor ials from profes sional and medical men, as my almanacs and vari ous publications have shown, all of which are genuine, lhe following from a highly educated and popuiar phpsician in Georgia, is certainly one of the most sen sible coinmunicationf I have ever received. Dr. Clem ent knows exactly what lie speaks of, and his testimo ny deserves to be written in letters of gold. Hear what the Doctor says of BulC# Worm De«tr. yer Villanow, Walker co., Ga. ) June 29th, 1866 \ I)R. JOHN BULL—Dear Sir:—l have recently giv en your “Worm Destroyer" several trials, and find it wonderfully efficacious. It has not failed in a single Instance, to have the wished-for effect. lam doing a pretty large country practice, and have daily use for some article of the kind. lam fre*e to confess that I know of no remedy recommended by the ablest authors that is so certain and speedy in its effects. On the con trary they are uncertain in the extreme. My object in writing you is to find out upon what terms I can get the medicine directly from you. If I can get it upon easy terms, I shall use a great deal of it. I art aware that the use of such articles is contrary to the teachings and practice of a great majority of the rey ular line of U* D. s, but I see no just cause or good sense in discarding a remedy which we know to be et ficient, simply because we may be ignorant of its com bination. For my part, I shall make it a rule to use all and auy means to alleviate suffering hum.nlty which I may be able to command—not hesitating because someone more ingenious than myself may have learn d its effects first, and secured the sole right tc secure ha* knowledge. However, lamby no m. ans an ad vocate or supporter of the thousands of worthies* nos trums that flood the country, that purport to cure all manner of disease to which hum in flesh is heir Please reply soon, and inform me of your best terms. I am,sir, most respectfully, JULIUS P. CLEMENT, M. D. Bull’s Sarsaparilla. A GODD REASON F"R THE CAPTAIN’S FAITH, BEAD THE CAPTAIN’S LETTER AND THE LET TER FROM HIS MOTHER. Benton Barracks, Mo., April 80, 1866. Dr. John Bull—Dear Sir: Knowing the efficiency of your Sarsaparilla, and the healing and beneficial qualities It possesses, Iyend you the following state ment of my case: I was wounded about two years ago—was taken prisoner and confined for sixteen months. Being moved so often, my wounds have not healed yet. I have not sat up a moment since 1 was wounded. I am shot through the hips. My general health is Im paired, and I need something to assist nature. I have more faith in your Sarsaparilla than in any thing else. I wish that that is genuine. Please express me half a dozen bottles, and oblige Capt. 0. P. JOHNSON. St. I jouis, Mo. P. S.—The following was written April 89,1865, by Mrs. Jennie Johnson, mother of Capt Johnson. DR. BULL—Dear Sir : My husband, Dr. 0. S. John son, was a skillful surgeon and physician in Central New York, where he died, leaving the above C. P. Johnson to my care. At thirteen years of age he had a chronic diarrhoea and scrofula, for which I gave him your Sarsaparilla. IT CURED HIM. I have for ten years recommended it to many in New York, Ohio, and lowa, for scrofula. fevSee sores, and gener.ii debili ty. Perfect success has attended It. The cure* effect ed in tome eases of scrofula and fever tores were almost miraculous lam very anxious for my son to again have recourse to your Sarsaparilla. He is fear ful of getting a spurious article, hence his writing to you for It. His wounds were terrible, hut I believe he will recover. Respectfully, JENNIE JOHNSON. BULL’S CEDRON BITTERS. BRADFXELD, Druggist, WAITEHALL STREET, ATLANTA, GA feb2Q, C AKTKR.SVIL.Is£, BARTOW COINTY, GEOBG3A, JINE loth, 1870. The Live Dp.ua Store. Messrs. Redwiue k Fox may still be found at their old stand on the corner of White hall and Alabama streets, where they have for several years been doing, and are continuing to do, a thriving and prosperous business in the drug line.- It would be a vain effort for us to at- I tempt to add anything to the fair fame of this medical establishment, or its worthy and popular owners and pro prietors, by writing fulsome panegyr ics in their praise. The outside of the Live Drug Store, shows for itself indu bitable evidences of. thrift and pros perity, and should any passer by, feel any doubt on the subject, he has but to step in at the door, look around at their stock, aud have all his doubts re moved. There he will find everything in the completest order, and goods of every variety in abundance. Redwiue & Fox, in the estimation of our people, have the largest stock aud the best va riety of goods of any one in their line. They hold out many inducements to customers, to invite them to come in aud make their purchases. It is con sidered a good reason to induce pur chasers to favor the merchants with a call; first, because he wishes it to be known th it he anxious to sell; again, that he is desirous of having it known what kind of goods he has; again, he is not troubled with a multidude of questions. The customer has merely to ask to be shown a certain article which the customer has seen advertis ed. He places the goods upon the counter, prices them with a moderate sum, and generally effects a trade.— Another reason —every one who knows that he is not afraid of printer’s ink, sets him down a liberal man, and not one of that illiberal class who would not expend a dime to save a dollar. — Two ladies are walking along the streets together—one wants to buy a fine sat in dress. Her companion says “I know where you can find the vtfry goods you want;” she objects to the distance, but her friend insists that they should go aud make the trial.— They went, found the goods, priced them, aud found them about 25 per cent, higher than she expected. They politely bowed out of the store, and hied away to the advertiser’s store.— They walked in, priced the goods, aud the price was so much lower than at the first place, they called at it. The goods were purchased at prices alto gether below those that were asked at the first place. So this was a good ad vertisement, and was narrated about the street, and the advertiser sold sev eral dresses of this kiud the next day, as well as other goods. So withal other classes of goods. He who is too stingy to advertise his goods, may rest assured that no one is likely to fall in love with him for bis liberality , and in all human probability will give him the go-bye for everything. Try the experiment and satisfy yourself. Red wine & Fox know the value of printer’s ink, ’land know how to usd it. B®r The General Conference of the M. E. church recently in session at Memphis, made some changes in the Alabama Conference. That portion north of the Tennessee river has been thrown back into Alabama, and that portion of Mississippi under the juris diction of the Mobile Conference has been given back to Mississippi. Two Conferences iu Alabama —the South line of Chambers the dividing line.— South of that line the Alabama Con ference: north of it, the North Ala bama Conference. Dr. Lovick Pierce, of the M. E. Church, preached a sermon at Savan nah last week, two hours long, pro nounced the ablest of his life. He is nearly 90 years old. _ The Enforcement Bil . —We see that the bill to enfore the 15th Amend ment has passed both branches o Congress and received the approval of the President. »55U A little girl five years of age, being asked what is faith, replied; “It is doing what God wants us to do, and ask no questions about it.” flgg- Jno. Priuters need something of this kind to govern them in their labors. The one presented to us has the appearance of being a good time keeper, and we trust it may prove so.
