Fe\Y men of Mr. Hillyer’s age possess an equal ability to teach boys;: ho has a way of uis bwn i in imparting to his pupils a proper nu- I derstandiug of the.various studies.— Some of his young-men gave ample I proof of advancement, and in declama tion furnished abundant evidence that . they will be able to till pulpits, forums and public places. The music which enlivened visitors at this examina tion was our own “Brass Band,” and they acquitted themselves with their tisual credit. This' band certainly has much musical talent, and has become One of the institutions cf our town-. j The next in order the exhibition, of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson's pupils, on Tuesday night last.
