Indigestion Causes
Catarrh of tHe
Stomach.
For many years It has been supposed that
Catarrh of the Stomach caused indigestion
and dyspepsia, but the truth is exactly the
opposite. Indigestion causes catarrh. Re
peated attacks of indigestion inflames the
mneAiu membranes lining the stomach and
me nerves of the stomach, thus caus
ing the glands to secrete mucin instead of
the juices of natural digestion This is
called Catarrh of the Stomach.
Kochi Dyspepsia Cure
relieves all inflammation of the mucous
membranes lining the stomach, protects the
nerves, and cures bad breath, sour risings, a
sense of fullness after eating, indigestion,
dyspepsia and all stomach troubles.

I suffered for a long time with a bad
case .of Catarrh, and took a great deal of
medicine without any benefit.
I had a continual headache, my cheeks
had grown purple, my nose was always
stopped up, my breath had a sickening and
disgusting odor, and I coughed incessantly
jI heard of your S. S. S. and wrote you.
I commenced to use it, and after taking
several be tiles I was enred and have
never since had the slightest symptom of
the disease. Miss M art L. Storm.

I had Nasal Catarrh for years for which I
*sed 8. 8. 8. with very gratifying remits.
I tried leeal applications for some time,
and getting ne permanent relief I came to
the concludes that the seat of the trouble
was in the Mood. Knowing 8. S. S. to be
a good blood medicine I began its nee,
end after csing it for some little while it
did away entirely with the offensive mu
cus in the nostrils, and I did not have to
hawk and spit, especially in the morning,
to dislodge the catarrhal matter.

Good Hoods
The good roads movement cannot
be pushed too vigorously in Geor
gia. There is no public improve
ent that speaks in more convincing
tones of a country’s prosperity and
progress than first-class public
highways. They are one of th
country’s best assets. When a stran
ger goes into a strange city there
is nothing that impresses him
more favorably than well kept
streets and sidewalks. They
are unmistakable evidences of
that city’s progress and develop
ment. This is true of the country.
First class public highways at
once impress the stranger that
people of that country are in a
prosperous condition; that they
are progressing; that they want
to build up and develop the coun
try. Such highways are one of the
greatest induements that any
country can hold out to liomeseek
ers. The man who wants to better
his condition by a change of resi
dence is bound to find greater at
traction in a section with good pub
lic roads than in one without them.
Good roads are advantageous in
numerous ways. Aside from the
fact thatihev give easy transport
ation to and. from market, they
tend to build up a country socially,
educationally religiously and oth
erwise. The country with good
roads offers easy communication
between the homes of those who
live in it, as well as easy access
to the schools and churches, even (
though they may be situated at
some distance. In addition to this,
good roads always enhance the
value of property through which
or by which they run, and in this
way, in the course o( a few years,
they pay for themselves.
Georgia has for sevei al years been
enthusiatic for the improvement of
her public roads, and the move
ment should be encouraged and
pushed until every section of the
state has a system of good roads. —

A letter from an American wo
man who was for a time shut up
in Port Arthur gives a curious ac
count of the bombardment upon
the large number of cats that as
semble on the roof as soon as the
shells begin to fall. She says: “ At
each gunshot the cats arched their
backs and stiffened their legs, and
seemed both terrified and furious.
Then when a hissing shell arrived
it gave the signal for a frightul
battle. They jumped at each other
like raging tigers, and seemed to
hold each responsible for what
wa£ taking place. After having
fought, the cats retired for a while,
but as soon as the bombardment
began again, they went through
the same business.”
