Our school is flourishing now under the good management of Prof. Laokej. A certain minister in our little village is wearing a long face as his girl has gone off. Mrs. Dr. Carter has just return ed from a pleasant visit to her old home iu Alabama. Mrs. Dr. Shepherd, of Chattahoochee, paid her sister, Mrs. N. C. Bell, a short visit last week. . Mrs. 8. M. Blount,of Boston is vi-ititig relatives here aud is the guest of Mrs. K. M. Roberts. Mr. 8. 8. Manor has been real sick for several weeks but we a. e glad to know he is improving. Col, Cox has just moved into his new tore, so Climax is on a boom and is coining to the front fast. Mr. Walter Calhoun is wearing the blue ribbon now as he brought in two tine wild turkeys Friday. A certain widower is a frequent vi-i- week. Mr. R. A. L. Maxwell has purchased a lot between the O’neal store and the one now occupied by W. W. McCully. He will erect a store house thereon. A number of the young people met at the home of Dr. Biidges Wednesday night and had a very pleasant informal gatheri g. playing dominoes, crokonole and other like games. The school here has been giving some interesting exercises on Friday after- nnnus to which are invited all the friends and patrons.
