A gentleman who makes frequent
trips down the river between this
plane ami Apalachicola, Fla., reoent-
ly oalled our attention to tbe amount
of trade between the lower river and
Columbus, Ga., a large portion of
which should be captured by Bain
bridge wholesale grocery men. The
trouble seems to be that tbe diacrim
inaiion of freight rates in favor ot
(Jolumbua baa put tbe local men at a
disadvantage. This should not be
and a board of trade would be of
great benefit in effecting change in
favor of Bainbridge.
