to tiie judge who was a personal

Tiie judge looked the documents

retain a lawyer to no purpose.

the judge.
Some days later tiie gentleman

least 25 per cent of all male adults
are hi uniform, it is a puzzle to tiie
tourist to identify tiie bearers of such
distinctive garbs, consequently the
different branches ot the government
service arc often wrongly interpreted.
Tiie gaudy uniform does not always
indicate a high official, as an officer
of high rank may appear in a plain
uniform and one of low rank not
infrequently parades the streets with
more fuss and feathers than his
commander.
