The fall session of the Georgia Southern Military College closed yesterday for the holidays after a most successful term. With one or two exceptions the members, of the faculty will spend Christmas'at their respective homes, returning January 1st to re assume their duties here. Sheriff Ford ham was called to- Fowltown last Saturday night to ar rest a negro man who had become enraged and cut a mule’s throat kill ing him instantly. The negro made good his escape and has not been ar rested. Mr. Frank llobia Graham of this city yesterday received a telegram from Judge Spence announcing Ins successful examination fur license to practice law. Mr. Graham stood the examination one day last week and it is gratifying to Ins friends to know that ho made a highly creditable showing. He will practice law at the Bambridge bar. The Christmas market conducted in one of the Graves stores on corner Broad and Troup streets, has been a success financially, socially and otherwise.
