The local Knights held an interes
ting meeting Tuesday night, initia
ting a new man into the mysteries
of ihe order.
Our sportsmen have placed away
their “fowling pieces” till another
season comes. A great many quail
have been slain in this community.

Our public school continues to
prosper, and the patrons are pleased.

our present furnishings the school
would be well equipped.
Rev. J. I. D. Miller preached an
interesting sermon Sunday at the
Baptist uhureli here. Rev Miller
lives in Arlington iut has gained a
warm place in the hearts of our peo
ple.
Some of our ladies and young g;n-
tlemen are preparing to g ve a local
talent concert some time in the near
future. We will give the exact date
as early as it can be definitely ob
tained.
We learn that Mr. W. W. McC.il-
ley will leave within a few da vs for
Florida where he has purchased ex
tensive turpentine interests. He will
be accompanied by bis interesting
family.

The weather is very pleasant now

Mr. Jeff Brunson of Donalsonville
was down at Mr. G. W. J. Barbers
on business, last Monday.
Messrs G. W. J. Barber and Sam
Brunson were over to Bam bridge
on the first of the week to attend
court.
Rev. Jaokson filled his regular ap
pointment, on last Saturday and
Sunday at Smloh. On Sunday there
was a large audience
A few days ago Rev, Sellers, ot
Colquitt Co. Ga. addressed this
neighborhood. His sermons were
on the sanctification subjects. Tnere
is a great cb uige in the minds of
many in regard to scripture.
Tile Sluloli School is in full blast
now. It is under the charge of Prof.
A. F. Hill' The enrollment is 45

two weeks ago and likely there will

with his many friends here: and is
