Next Sunday night, the 29th,
at the Methodist church, the Eps
worth Leaguers of the city will
observe “Epworth League For^
ward Day.” The programme
which has been prepared for the
occasion is an excellent one, and
will prove both interesting and
profitable to all who avail them>
selves of this opportunity.
At the 11 o’clock service Bro.
Ryder will preach a sermon that
will be germame to the occasion,
and every Leaguer is respectfully
urged to be present. A very cor
dial invitation is extended the
public to be present at these serv

Married on Sunday last at the
Methodist parsonage in Brinson
Ga. by Rev. Jno, Swain, Mr. W.
C. Sims of Babcock to Miss Tem-
pa Powell, the beautiful daughter
f Mr. Jesse H. Powell of the
Pine Grove neighborhood. The
happy couple left the following
morning for a trip through Middle
and North Georgia.
The wedding came somewhat as
a surprise to the relatives of each,
and as there were objecting parties,
the marriage was kept a secret till
the ceremony over.
Mr. and Mrs, Sims will make
their future home in Babcock, Ga.,
where the groom holds a responsi
ble position with the Babcock
Lumber Co. They will carry
with them the hearty wishes of
their many friends in the western
part of the county.
